Restorative Dentistry
Dental Implants
For patients with missing teeth, dental implants are the restorative option that most closely mimics the feeling and stability of natural teeth. These durable prostheses are made of a titanium post that is surgically implanted into the jaw. An implant acts like the roots of a tooth, and can be topped with a range of restorations, like a dental crown or implant-retained bridge or denture. Dr. Gooch can place and restore your dental implants on-site, and uses state-of-the-art technology for enhanced precision.
Same-day Crowns
The days of extended waits for your crowns are over. Using our CEREC® machine and CAD/CAM imaging technology, Dr. Gooch and our team can create customized porcelain crowns for you in as little as an hour. Even if you require a crown on the same day as your root canal therapy, this technology means you can walk out of our office with a permanent crown – not a temporary - in just one visit. Dr. Gooch will choose the appropriate type of crown for you based on your treatment and aesthetic goals.
Dentures
For our patients who are missing most or all of their teeth, dentures offer an effective means of restoring your bite and smile. We offer traditional, removable dentures, which rely on natural suction and a mild adhesive to stay in place, and implant-supported dentures. Dr. Gooch prefers implant-retained partial and full dentures for their many benefits. These prosthetic devices snap into place for incredible stability. As a result, patients not only enjoy restored function, but also greatly improved confidence.
Dental Fillings
Dental fillings are used to treat small to moderately sized cavities and protect the tooth from further decay. Traditional amalgam fillings may be preferable for certain cases, but our team typically prefers to use tooth-colored fillings (made of a composite resin material) which are customized to match the hue of your natural teeth. The result is a healthy, restored tooth that blends beautifully into your smile.
Dental Extractions and Bone Grafting
Helping our patients maintain strong, healthy teeth is of paramount importance, but there are instances a tooth is beyond restoration and may need to be extracted. Sedation dentistry, including nitrous oxide and oral sedation, can be used to minimize discomfort, and our gentle techniques ensure the procedure will be nearly painless. Patients may also choose to undergo bone grafting immediately after - a procedure known as socket preservation - to guard against the natural bone loss process, and prepare the treatment site to receive an implant in the future.
